What's included in the hire

  • Fully comprehensive insurance for the first named driver

  • Full breakdown cover

  • Public liability insurance

  • A full tank of diesel, but we ask that you also return the van with the same amount of diesel or we will need to charge.

  • Crockery and cutlery

  • A pop-up tent used for extra storage or muddy/sandy shoes or perhaps a heavy snorer!

Where can I leave my vehicle whilst on holiday?

We can provide parking for one car on our drive.  However The Lil Camper Co cannot accept responsibility for damage or loss caused during the hire period. Vehicles are left at the owner’s risk.

Alternatively if you are arriving via train or plane - we can look into picking you up from the station or airport.

Can we take your campervan abroad?


Yes, however we need to know more detail for insurance purposes.

Am I able to take the Campervan to a Festival?

Yes, however we will require some more detail from you.

Does the van get cold at night?

Nope you will be snug as a bug! Our campervan is fitted with diesel heating and black window curtains are fitted throughout. The campervan comes with a thermal windscreen cover for warmth and privacy.

Do you allow dogs?

Of course you can bring your best friend however ideally they need to be Small - Medium size and there is an additional charge of £20.00 for the duration of the hire.

Is there a limit on milage?

No! Explore to your hearts content.

What does the insurance cover?

The hire price includes fully comprehensive insurance for one named driver, between the ages of 25-75, with unlimited mileage and breakdown cover.

The excess is covered by the security deposit, which is £500 for Bluey, Skyler and Betty and £750 for Bernie. 

 

This security deposit needs to be paid a minimum of 7 days before your collection day but is fully refundable within 10 days of return if the campervan is returned in the same condition it was found on collection day.

What are the collection and return times?

You can collect the campervan on your day of collection from 2pm unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Please allow 30-45 mins for us to complete the handover process as we need to run through some essential information with you.


On your day of return, the campervan must arrive back no later than 11am.

We are happy to discuss other times if we have the availability we will always try to accommodate requests where possible.

What is the insurance criteria for hiring the van?

  • Must meet the specified age limits of 25-75 and have a minimum of 2 years on a Full UK License.

  • Two, 3 point convictions are acceptable. Single convictions totaling 6 points + will require a referral with the insurance company.

  • No more than one fault/outstanding incident/claim in the last 3 years

What is the cancellation policy?

  • Cancellations 30 days or more prior before collection dates will result in loss of the booking deposit

  • Cancellation of booking within 29 days will result in a 100% cancellation fee.

  • We do advise hirers to obtain their own holiday insurance to safeguard against such eventualities.

Will you show me how to use the van?

Of course we will!

​

We send a video to you the week prior showing you around the van and I will then go through everything again on handover day.    Once you are on the road we are always just a phone call away.

We also have a manual in the van as well so hopefully we have everything covered!
